Victoria Fareld of Stockholm University is Visiting Researcher at MYTH during the autumn 2025

Victoria Fareld is Professor of Intellectual History at Stockholm University and a Visiting Professor at MYTH in the Fall 2025. She is co-founder of the Cultural Memory Studies Network at Stockholm University (https://www.su.se/english/research/research-groups/cultural-memory-studies?open-collapse-boxes=research-group-members). Her research focuses on memory studies, theory of history, and the history of political thought, with particular interests in the connections between time, ethics, memory, and historical justice. She is currently working on a research project called Historical Responsibility in a Polychronic Present, which deals with responsibility and historical time in light of an understanding of humans as relational beings. She argues for the need to develop a polychronic conception of human relationality in order to articulate a temporally interwoven account of historical responsibility.
