Amin will also be teaching numerous courses across the two years of the studies: <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Social Exclusion: Key Approaches<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Seminar II: Methods for Studies of Social Exclusion<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">;\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1rem\">The Geography of Social Exclusion; and Race, Racism and Antiracism<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As stated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.abo.fi\/socialexclusion\/specializations\/\">subject perspective section<\/a> of the blog, SoEx consists of four subject perspectives: history, philosophy, gender studies, and the study of religions (and theology). During the academic year 2024-2025, the teachers and staff are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/research.abo.fi\/fi\/persons\/holger-weiss\">Holger Weiss<\/a><\/strong> is a professor of General History and teaches the <em>Social Exclusion in a Historical Perspective<\/em> course.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.abo.fi\/en\/persons\/heidi-jokinen\"><strong>Heidi Jokinen<\/strong><\/a> is a University Lecturer in Theological Ethics and Philosophy of Religion<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/research.abo.fi\/fi\/persons\/camilla-kronqvist\">Camilla Kronqvist<\/a><\/strong> is a University Lecturer in the Philosophy department\u00a0and teaches the <em>Social Exclusion in a Philosophical Perspective <\/em>course.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/research.abo.fi\/en\/persons\/khushal-naik\">Khushal Naik<\/a> <\/strong>is a Doctoral Researcher in Migration Research and the Study of Religions, and teaches the <em>Geography of Social Exclusion<\/em> course.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/centre-for-lifelong-learning\/sprakcentret\/sprakcentret-kontaktuppgifter\/\">Sarah Mattila<\/a><\/strong> is a university lecturer at the English Language department in \u00c5bo, and teaches <em>Seminar I: English Language and Academic Skills for Studies in Social Exclusion <\/em>course.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/fi\/yhteystiedot\/islam-abdalaziz\/\"><b>Islam Sabry<\/b><\/a> is a Research Coordinator for the RelEx Project and the Social Exclusion master&#8217;s programme, and teaches <em>Seminar I <\/em>and <em>SoEx and Work Life<\/em> courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Other personnel:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/contact\/yasmin-nyqvist\/\"><strong>Yasmin Nyqvist<\/strong> <\/a>will be your Study Adviser through the duration of your studies and will provide study guidance and counseling. She is also the accessibility advisor at the faculty and can assist in matters like the need for individual arrangements because of a disability.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/fi\/yhteystiedot\/sanna-westerlund\/\"><strong>Sanna Westerlund<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is the Academic Affairs Coordinator and will be able to assist with issues related to education and studies, or will be able to direct you to someone who will be able to assist you with your specific issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Other non-program-specific contacts:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/contact\/jessica-nylund-4\/\">Jessica Nylund<\/a> <\/strong>is the Coordinator at Educational Services<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/abofi.sharepoint.com\/sites\/intra-en-ict\/SitePages\/IT-support.aspx\"><strong>ICT service<\/strong><\/a> is the general IT support for staff and personnel, which can be reached via contacting the Help Desk email at <strong>helpdesk@abo.fi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/contact\/klara-schauman-ahlberg\/\"><strong>Klara Schauman-Ahlberg <\/strong><\/a>is the Study Psycologist at \u00c5bo Akademi University. Students can reach out to her in relation to stress, loneliness, nervousness, mental health-related complications etc. Students can have 1-5 sessions with the study psychologist and all that is shared is confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentkaren.fi\/en\/contact-information\/\"><strong>Petra Lindblad<\/strong> <\/a>works at the Student Union and is the Students&#8217; Rights Expert, meaning that if you feel that you have been unequally treated by staff or students you can contact her.<\/li>\n<li>The Student Union also has two <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentkaren.fi\/en\/harassment-contact-persons\/\">Harassment Contact Persons<\/a>,<\/strong> Petra Lindblad and Sandra H\u00e4ggkvist, who you can contact if you have been subject to inappropriate behaviour and jargon, bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment or violence.
