The course introduces the learners to the key financial concepts and different financing options to give entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs a guide to secure funding. The aim is to develop an understanding of the differences between early-stage versus later-stage financing, how to reach, and how to discuss with investors. The course also introduces the learners to venture capital (VC) in general. VC is private equity that investors provide to startups and small businesses that are considered to have growth potential. The course helps entrepreneurs and startup founders to understand VC’s decision-process and evaluation criteria, and how to estimate financing needs and the value of the business venture (company valuation).
