Guest lecture: Optimization with GAMS

May 16, 2014 Andreas Lundell Events

Toni Lastusilta, who obtained his PhD in Process Design and Systems Engineering from ÅAU in 2011 and is currently working at GAMS Development Corp., will give a presentation titled “Optimization with GAMS” on Tuesday May 20th.

Optimization with GAMS

The General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level modeling system for mathematical programming and optimization. We will start off by covering the basic concepts and the design principles of the GAMS system. Then we will highlight some good modeling practices, as well as, look at a simple example. Finally, we will consider a large scale energy model application.

Date and time: 1 PM, Tuesday May 20th, 2014.

Location: Lecture room, Process Design and Systems Engineering Laboratory, Axelia II building.
