PhD students Johan Pensar and Henrik Nyman participated in the four-day conference MCMSki IV in Chamonix, France, in the beginning of January 2014.

As revealed by the name, the focus of the conference is on MCMC and skiing. The days were mainly filled with talks, however, the schedule also allowed for some skiing in the French Alps. In the evenings, well-attended poster sessions were held.
