Emma Kanckos, doctoral student at English Language and Literature, received second prize for her poems in the Arvid Mörne contest.

FM Jennie Öhman from English Language and Literature, Åbo Akademi University, will defend her doctoral thesis on Friday, 23rd February, at 13 in Auditorium Ringbom, Axelia (Biskopsgatan 8 / Piispankatu 8). The thesis is entitled: Interaction in Text and Hypertext: Participant Roles on Corporate Websites. The opponent is Professor Merja Koskela, University of Vaasa. Custos is Associate Professor Martin Gill. Apart from the lectio praecursoria in Swedish, the defence will take place in English.
